MY BATTLE WITH THE BULGE
My name’s Jessica Dawson, and I’m in the best shape of my life. “What, are you bragging or something?” I hear you ask, and the answer is yes. Yes I am. You see, I used to be more than a little overweight. In fact, just eight weeks ago I weighed 178 pounds!
My weight-loss journey started about a year ago when, on my 40th birthday, I had a good, long look at myself. I was unhealthy, and I realised that if I wanted to be around to see my two daughters (Shelly is 6 and Tiffany just turned 4!) reach their 40ths, something would have to drastically change.

I tried literally dozens of solutions – from those ab-crunchers you always see advertised late at night to all sorts of diets, but I couldn’t seem to keep the pounds off, and even then, progress was slow. Try as I might, I just wasn’t losing weight. I was instead beginning to lose hope. But then, like the rainbow after the storm, I was channel surfing one day and that beautiful angel Rachel Ray (thanks for that casserole recipe, by the way) told me that not all was lost. She was discussing this thing called the acai (pronounced ah-sai-ee) berry, which is the fruit produced by a certain variety of Amazonian palm-tree. She said the berry:
- Was a natural appetite suppressant
- Would give me an energy boost
- Would speed up my metabolism
It sure sounded like a winning weight-loss combination to me!
STILL A FEW HURDLES.
I immediately logged onto the internet in the hopes of finding my weight-loss salvation. There were dozens of sites offering “free trials” of Acai Berry supplements, and I reluctantly signed up for some random one, because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, there’s always a catch.
Well, unfortunately my instincts were right, and it turned out to be a scam. Whatever crummy product they sent me certainly wasn’t working, and when I tried to cancel, they told me I had violated the terms and conditions. I had to cancel my credit card to stop them from charging me for something that didn’t even work. I tried again with a different company, and again their supplement was a dud. I experienced no weight-loss, and when I tried to contact them, they wouldn’t even take my calls.
Although I thought the Acai Berry was a lost cause, with all the media covering the berry and the scientific approvals it was given, I concluded that it was these “scam-artist” companies filling these bottles with pretty much powder, and they were just totally trying to take advantage of the hype. There HAS to be companies out there that are selling REAL Acai Berry products, I just had to discover them, and one company I DID discover:

It wasn’t until we had one of Shelly’s classmate’s parents over for dinner one evening that I made my jump to weight-loss success. We had just finished our meal, when Belle (such a pretty name!), one of our guests, had taken a small bottle of pills out of her bag. Then, I will be smaller than I’ve been in my entire adult life. Damn, there is some serious hype with this Acai Berry stuff right now. I’ve been doing a lot of research on both Acai and Colon Cleanse and how they work together, and there seems to be some strong statements about the benefits they offer.
Also, I checked out the Acai Weight Loss and Natura Cleanse products, and that company has been around for a while, even before the hype. Looks like everything is well with you, so I’m gonna try them out!

Well yea, I don’t think Rachael Ray or Oprah would be talking about Acai on their shows if it was all just BS. That would put their entire reputation at risk.
